Here comes the START!

Yes! Boys, I mean my husband and Papa just left to get the stuff! The stuff that is going to make the boys room look finished - moldings, closet doors, etc. And we decided to go with the simple (and cheap enough) material, so we can just add some more "popping out" elements later. I can't wait till it is done, and my designer's heart will rush into their room to make it the cutest one!
Now DL's and WS's room is green! That's all I can say so far, not because the rest information is a secret or something. Nope. It is just what it is - a GREEN ROOM.
Green...as green can be!

Of course now it looks much better then that - curtains, furniture, painted floors (yucky gray color, but, oh well!),some clothes in the closet with  (still) no doors, and lots of toys EVERYWHERE! It all makes the room look like a room. You know what I mean? And kids love it!
Doesn't look bad, does it?!
Our great idea was the green room with the window on the ceiling. I know, sounds kind of crazy! But here it is! The design picture, actually, was sent to me by my Mom, and I remember being a little bit in "hmm, I don't know if it is possible to do"- mood. But then I showed the picture to my husband and his dad, and they saw a great challenge in it!
And here we are - still the same green walls and no window on the ceiling... It just life - planning one thing and something else is on your way, so you postpone or even give up... I am not saying we gave up, but our plan has been changed a little bit. I still love the idea of the window and starts and so on, but with our planning to buy a bunk bed pretty soon for our boys made us think about possibilities of our boys trying to "reach for the sky" or hang on the ceiling window curtain, etc, etc, etc...So, no stars for now! Maybe later for another room. Maybe, when we have a girl! LOL!

But my dreaming heart, my husband's hands and Papa's great experience are going to make the room perfect anyway! I am still in the process of looking for the greatest ideas. What I know for sure, we will mix in more colors then just green.

Guys have just unloaded the car - molding and closet doors (!!!!!!!) are in the garage! Welcome, welcome, my dear friends! And we are done for today, I think! But I can't wait till tomorrow! Oh, I hope I will be able to sleep tonight!

Plan for tomorrow: move all the kids stuff in our master bedroom, and start working on the dresser while entertaining and feeding my 3 boys! Can't wait to start! My husband said it shouldn't take longer than 2 days-nights to finish it all! Happy happy happy me!

Night-night!

Inspiration

I will start from the very beginning. We moved in our house about 16 months ago. It was a great deal - price, location, size, views, everything, except the flooring - so we had to get rid of it and do without. The plan was to clean the house, paint the walls and start saving for the floors. So here we go - saving. But you know how it is most of the time - you plan one and there is another bill comes to be paid.
And now we kind of corrected the plan a little bit - one room at a time. And we are starting with boys room! I am so exited! I do want them to have a special room that they will remember having. So while waiting for my husband's days off, I don't waste the time. I am researching everything, that  I can do to make their room ideal for them and the cutest ever!
That's when I thanked God once again for the invention of the Internet! And here it is my best so far source of inspiration, that actually gives me ideas about using my hands and imagination to make everything in the house and even outside fabulous and for less (quoting Centsational Girl).
http://www.centsationalgirl.com/ - here it is the blog I am reading all day long! We are going "to steal" the ideas of a dresser and a bookshelf for our boys room for sure! Love it! Don't you?
Before

After
Before and After
Ok. That's it for now. My lovely kids are looking for attention and if they won't get it - they will look for a trouble around here somewhere! Have to run!

God bless
See you all soon
PS: have so much stuff I want to share! So, I will, when kids are in beds!

Designer in me

Oh my! I am in designing mood! Who knows what started it - my cleaning mood (which, I think, is part of a very early nesting instinct), a new season coming up, or our planning to finish our repair in the house. I am not sure, what exactly is the reason. Maybe, all of them. But I don't really care, I just enjoy this designing mood! Though sometimes it doesn't let me sleep! I can wake up in the middle of the night (pregnant women do it very often) and then just lay there and think about all the pretty little things (and nothings) I will make. Love it! Can't wait to start! Michaels and Jo-Anns, here I come! Just wait and see! I really hope, that this mood will never leave me!
It all started when I was looking online for some cute ideas for kids dresser. And I found the best (so far) blogging page - "Centsational Girl" (Check it out http://www.centsationalgirl.com) This girl is amazing! I am almost jealous, that she is the one who had all those ideas, but not me! LOL! But I love her blog and I am going "to steal" couple of ideas. So, my Dearest Designing Mood, don't leave me (too soon or ever)!

I just thought I would share this exciting time of my life with you, my friends! And, maybe, knowing, that you know about my GREAT plans, will make me more responsible in fulfilling them and sharing the results with you as well!

Have a blessed day full of dreams and GREAT plans!

Who doesn't want this?! ("Living in Love" by James and Betty Robinson)

This book is the one to have on the desk and, yes, you will read it over and over again. All about commitment, communication, cooperation - three main things that can make marriage work, can clear the purpose of it and return both spouses to the fulfilling love relationship.
I was reading this book just the right moment of my life, when I didn't know where to ask for advice, and, honestly, had no idea what kind of advice I needed. The authors explain it so clear and easy by their own examples and stories from their own lives, that it makes it easy to look at your own marriage think "We can make it work perfectly too".
I love the language, stories, the way the authors explain the stuff, that you think is the mess of your family (only) and only you know about, but can't do much to "clean" it. They give very structural way to fix your marriage and make it full of joy again (and again, and again!).

Who doesn't want to be disciplined? (review of "PrayerWalk" by Janet Holm McHenry)

Discipline is one of those things that everyone needs to work on all life long. And most of the time being an adult requires it even more, than when you were at school or college. So many things depend on discipline - your time management, budgeting, work, relationship with people and family.
That's what "PrayerWalk" by Janet Holm McHenry is about. The simple idea of taking time to walk and pray is just perfect. It is easy, doable, and so practical. Our life is full of things that we do because we have to, but so many times we let ourselves skip on talking to God, just spending time with Him. And being a mom of two kids under 3 and with one on the way, I can clearly see that I miss it so much - just be by myself and have chance to talk to the Creator. The life routine swallows us, family and kids need more attention day by day, and we just hope that on day (maybe when they are gone to college) it will be enough time to spend time with God... I think, it is just a dream, not real one. It is always going to be busy life.
The author of the book motivates us to make a step and start meeting God daily, become committed to Him, become disciplined in this most important area of our life.
The best part of the idea is that it is practical and spiritual at the same time. You are going to be in better shape and closer to God at the same time. Who doesn't want it, dear ladies?!
The author provides multiple lists of ideas of prayer, walks, ways of prayer and planing the prayerwalk. I would recommend the book to every one - men and women.
